Akumajou Dracula is a pseudo-remake of the original Castlevania, moreso than
Super Castlevania 4. Though not completely the same, some levels and areas
are very reminiscent of the original. That said, this Japanese home computer
version sports plenty of excellent music (including a good dose of signature
remixes), great graphics and the traditional Castlevania play - that is,
very fun but also immensely difficult. Though it lacks the multiple characters
and pathways of Dracula X for the PC Engine, this highly sought after title
is still another very successful entry in the series.
