Since this is a first generation Playstation title, don't expect much in the way of flashy graphics: this Goemon title is pure old-fashioned 2D. Not that it's bad. By combining some adventure aspects with fun side-scrolling levels, plus four playable characters (featuring two new characters, the caveman Goroku and alien chap Baban) with different abilities, and you have a very fun game. Also noteworthy is the excellent music, a fusion of techno and traditional Japanese music. The only thing missing is the two player mode.
